Indy Racing’s Golden Girl: Danica Patrick
At Daytona International Speedway on February 6th 2010, Danica Patrick, Indy racing’s golden girl, made her stock car racing debut in an ARCA race. Patrick recovered from a mid race spinout, showed what she was made of by coming up through the pack to finish sixth even though she was bumped from all sides in a crash plagued race. There are lots of Betting Lines running for NASCAR.
In her JR Motorsports Chevrolet She launched her NASCAR Nationwide career on February 13th, at Daytona. Amongst the grumbling of other driver’s loss of camera time, the media coverage of the race was overwhelmingly directed toward this high-speed beauty. Patrick started in the 15th slot and finished 35th after the melee of a 12 car crash.
The Slater Brothers 300 in Fontana, California was Patrick’s second Nascar Nationwide Series start. She began in the 36th spot, and quickly dropped back she waged an uneventful battle, back and forth, things didn’t go well for Patrick from the start, throughout the raceshe was cited twice for speeding in the pit area and went on to finish 31st.
Amid overwhelming praises and very vocal criticisms, the 2010 Sam’s Town 300 saw Danica Patrick in her third Nationwide series race. She worked her way up to the 17th position before pitting even though she started in the 37th spot. Coming out of the pits, on new tires, it looked like Patrick would make up for the debacles of Fontana, but fate stepped in the way when she collided with Michael McDowell who was going to the bottom with a damaged car.
