Nascar Preview: Coca-Cola 600

The Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race takes place May 30, 2010 at 6:16 PM Eastern time. The race will happen at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. This will be race 13 out of 36. The Coca-Cola 600 is 400 laps around a 1.5 mile track for a total of 600 miles.

The pre-race show will pay a special tribute to our men and women who were in the military, currently serving, or have made a huge sacrifice in the military. Veterans from World War II, Korean War, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom will be honored.

The Coca-Cola 600 is the most respected race in the Spring Cup series. It always takes place on Memorial Day weekend. This long race puts the drivers tempers and endurance to the test. Only the best will last. Their equipment will be tested mile after mile. The Coca-Cola 600 is the longest race on an oval track in the world.

David Reutimann, Kasey kahne, Jimmie Johnson, and Jeff Gordon are among some of the winners of the Coca-Cola 600 in past years.

Recent races at this track in Charlotte, NC have been dominated by Jimmie Johnson. He has won titles 4 years in a row. No way could you go against him. Look for Kyle Bush to be huge competition for Johnson in this race. Kyle Bush could win a few races putting him in a good seat to win a championship this year.
