Texas Motor Speedway Promotes “No Limits” for NASCAR race
Eddie Gossage, the man that runs Texas Motor Speedway, has been running a campaign to drum up sales for the upcoming race this weekend. The campaign is called “No Limits” and Gossage took full advantage of the Carl Edwards versus Brad Keselowski situation in the spring Atlanta race.
Gossage bought billboards with Keselowski hovering upside down in the air as Edwards drove past. The words “No Limits” written underneath the carnage. The Texas track is a fast mile and a half track with aggressive banking and the drivers that know how to set their cars up with proper camber settings will dominate in this race. Denny Hamlin brought home the trophy in the spring race and the track has never been swept since NASCAR began racing on the faxt Texas mile and a half circuit.
Carl Edwards has one back to back on the Texas Motor Speedway, winning in the fall and then the spring the following year. Edwards and his Roush Fenway teammates should be considered favorites for this weekend’s race since they all have run up front in most races on the track.
Another driver to consider in this race is Jeff Gordon. His championship hopes are gone and he has not won in 2010. Gordon’s last win came on the Texas track one year ago this weekend and he always comes to the track with a perfect set up.
One last long shot to consider is David Reutimann. Reutimann is a strong qualifier on this track and starting up front is key to winning in Texas.
