Paul Menard

Paul Menard sits in the 11th place position in the points standings so far on the season and has been very different from the majority of the drivers ahead of him at this point.

Menard has not put up very many top ten finishes like a lot of the drivers so far on the season, but rather has been a model of consistency sitting around 15th place for most of his finishes. Though it doesn’t seem as impressive to finish almost every race at about 15th place, it does help you out in the points standings.

Frankly, this has already been a career year for Menard. Menard had only finished in the top 5 one time in his career before this season. This season he has already managed one and has been solid in every other race.

The best finish Paul Menard has ever managed in his career was a 26th place finish in 2008 and he looks to be able to top it this year.  The key will be continued consistency for Menard.  If he can those 20th and 30th place finishes every other driver has been subject to this season, he will be able to continue to consistently get points for the standings.

This season could change the career of Menard and would make for a great 2010 turnaround story if he continues to do well.  A couple more top 10 finishes and solid weeks in every other race will boost him into the points standing picture.
